HU Meeting - Day 1

Day 1 Canberra ACT to Narrabri NSW Route

I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. I don't know if it was the excitement of the trip or worry that I had loaded the bike up to much. I woke really early and was on the road by 6.20am.

It was still dark when I left and cold I later found out it was -3.

It seemed to get colder as the sun came out and there was lots of fog.

The moisture from the fog turned to ice on my screen. Brrrrrrr.

Whoops my finger got in the way.

Just outside of Dubbo I came across this.

Yay I finally made it to Narrabri, it was a long tiring day.

I found the pub I was staying at The Wilga Hotel.

I put Grania to bed as she deserved a well earned rest.

I discovered this on my exhaust. What is it? I though maybe a bit of road kill got flicked up onto the exhaust.

Then I discovered this on the back of my pants. No more stretching the leg in front for me.

I settled into my not so luxurious accommodation (but it was cheap and did the job). It was starting to get cold and for the life of me I could not find the power point to plug the split system into. I then discovered a really long extension cord in one of the drawers.

After having a much needed shower I went out to have a look at the lake just across the road.
